Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver mounted candlesticks, each stepped square filled base with beaded borders, rising to a tapered stem with trailing garlands and removable circular nozzle. Hallmarked Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1895. Height measuring 5 1/8 inches (13.2 cm).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Multiple dents and nicks around the bases with some losses/holes to the mount on the corners. The nozzles do not sit in the sockets flush and are stiff to remove. Both would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to the nozzles.
