Lot Description

A 19th century silver and gold, citrine and diamond brooch. The oval-shape citrine collet, with vari-cut diamond surrounds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.90ct. Length 3.2cms. Weight 9gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.


<li>Brooch made up of three sections of similar age. Small signs of alteration, soft solder and repairs.

<li>Hook to one end for suspension loop or drop.

<li>Diamonds well matched.



<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Varied levels of inclusions, some surface reaching.

<li>Rose-cut diamonds with uneven surfaces.

<li>Citrine is a deep, very slightly brownish orange hue. Minor abrasion.

<li>Estimated dimensions of citrine 17 by 12 by 8.2mms.
