A late Victorian gold insect brooch. The oval-shape orange garnet and vari-cut diamond fly, with green gem eyes, to the split pearl terminal pin. Length 5.1cms. Weight 5.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Replacement gems.
<li>Diamonds combination of old and rose-cut, two rose-cuts with shallow chips.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>One green gem eye significantly chipped.
<li>Garnet is a medium, slightly brownish orange hue. Window effect to the centre.
