An Edwardian 15ct gold enamel vesta case, depicting Bass & Co Pale Ale, 'Old Friends'.
With grooved base, hinged top opening to reveal twelve matches.
Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1903.
Length 4.8cms. Total weight 25.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Maker's mark partially indistinct, possibly 'H & A'.
<li>Few nicks to metal case reverse.
<li>Enamel with some shallow surface scratches, enamel is generally in a good condition.
<li>Enamel depicting Bass & Co Pala Ale, bottle and glass with smoking pipe and the message 'Old Friends'.
<li>Dimensions of vesta not including surmount, 3.9 by 3.3 by 0.8cm.
<li>Hinged fastening in good working order, with some match tip residue to inside cover.
