Full Lot Description
A late George III silver sauce boat, the oval bellied form with applied gadroon rim above fluted decoration to the main body and engraved crest to one side, with leaf capped scroll handle and raised on three scrolled feet with shell mounts. Hallmarked Thomas Robins, London 1809. Overall length 7.75" (19.5cm) and height 4.5" (11.5cm), weight 14 ozt (435.3 grams).

<li>Displaying expected surface wear and tarnishing. Also general surface marks, scratches and nicks commensurate with the age and use.
<li>Likely split repair at the rim on one side in the centre. Vertical seam visible more to the interior and measuring just under 1cm.
<li>Further repair at the join of the handle to the rim. And possibly at the lower join also.
<li>Some gaps around the shell surmounts of the feet joined to main body, filled with polish or dirt residues.
<li>Stands firm on its feet.
