A wooden Japanese four-case inro, the lacquer body decorated with gold low-relief lacquer (hiramaki-e) depicting horses in a landscape, with an attached coquilla nut ojime carved as a bearded figure in traditional dress, and a carved ivory netsuke depicting two Japanese figures. Total length from top of netsuke to bottom of inro, 7.5" (19cm).
