Full Lot Description
A late George III silver seven bar toast rack, of kidney shaped form with central ring handle, the rectangular open base with chased shell, acorn, foliate and gadroon rim, and raised on four ball feet. Hallmarked Robert Hennell II, London 1818. Length of base 6.75" (17cm), weight 11.29 ozt (351 grams).

<li>Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
<li>Several splits around the rim and evidence of previous repairs.
<li>Blobs of solder and dark seams visible at the joins of the central bar indicating further likely repairs. The bar is very slightly bent off centre.
<li>Further possible repairs at the joins of some of the bars.
<li>Stands firm on its four ball feet and the bars are still fairly uniform in distance apart.
<li>Hallmarks located to the underside of central bar towards one end, these in good order. The maker's mark is closer to the join and is slightly distorted by the blobs of solder.
