An early Victorian silver vinaigrette, of scroll-edge oblong shape, engraved and chased with scrolling foliage to the whole, the hinged lid also initial engraved to centre and opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with a similarly decorated and pierced grille. Hallmarked Edward Smith, Birmingham 1851. Length 5cm, gross weight 21.9 grams.

<li>Decoration appears bright.
<li>Some slightly heavier wear around edges and corners.
<li>Some residues of polish visible.
<li>Hinges to lid and grille all appear in working order and close securely.
<li>Hallmarks located to interior, these rubbed in parts but still legible.
<li>Grille marked with Duty mark to one corner.
