A late 19th century graduated ruby line brooch, with old-cut diamond spacers.

Central ruby calculated weight 0.67ct, based on estimated dimensions of 6 by 5 by 2.4mms.
Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct.
Length 3.8cms. 7.3gms.

<li>Scratches and small dents.
<li>Discolouration around the clasp.
<li>Varied wea to the claws, may require attention.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>One diamond deficient. Four diamonds chipped.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Rubies appear a fairly well matched medium pinky red though deep purplish red.
<li>General minor abrasions, one ruby to the end of the line is chipped.
<li>Estimated dimensions of apparent smallest ruby 4.4 by 3.2 by 2.2mms.
<li>Mount electronically tests as approximately 21ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
