Lot Description

A late 19th century gold coral and rose-cut diamond pendant, on period coral bead spacer trace-link chain.

Pendant indistinctly marked, possibly C.G.
Length of pendant 4.6cms. Length of chain 160cms. 27.3gms.
Coral untested for natural colour origin.

<li>Scratches and small marks.
<li>Maker's mark is partially obscured.
<li>Diamonds presumed foil back and appear bright and well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Coral untested for natural colour origin.
<li>Coral appear a well matched, slightly mottled slightly orangey pink. Few small polyp holes.
<li>Diameter of beads 7.6 to 8mms.
<li>Visible estimated dimensions of coral to the drop 25.5 by 11.1 by 9.3mms.
<li>Pendant electronically tests approximately 18ct gold. Chain electronically tests approximately 14-15ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
