Full Lot Description
An early 20th century silver import and enamel cigarette case, in the form of a horseshoe with enamel panel to the front depicting a profile portrait of a black horse. Hallmarked George Dresden, Chester import 1909. Maximum length 3.5" (9cm) by maximum width 3.25" (8.5cm), gross weight 4.23 ozt (131.8 grams).

<li>Displaying some expected general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
<li>Some minor surface nicks and deeper scratches to some areas.
<li>A couple of slight knocks/bashes around the edge, near to the push button.
<li>Some small chips and nibbles and slight losses around the edge of the enamel panel, most notable around the curved top on one side and to a bottom corner near to a signature.
<li>Surface of enamel panel also with some nicks and scratches.
<li>Hinge opening appears in good working order; closes securely although a slight gap remains in some places when closed.
<li>Interior very dirty and stained and in need of a clean; missing elastic straps.
<li>Hallmarks to exterior heavily rubbed and partly illegible; with clearer part hallmarks to interior.
