J Kaendler, he stood holding a snuff box with her hand in his, she dressed in a wide crinoline, underglaze blue cross sword mark, incised 550 and impressed 137, length 26cm, height 22cm, damaged

- The bow in his hair is missing
- There are chips to the adjoined hands, both having missing thumbs
- There is a hairline across the base running into the skirt
- The black paintwork is oxidised and rubbed, particulary to his trousers and shoes.
- There is rubbing to the gilding, especially to the trim of her skirt
- Very dusty / grubby.
