A late Victorian gold amethyst cabochon, split pearl and enamel brooch. Diameter 3.1cms. 15.4gms.

General light marks and wear. Enamel with partial creamy white re-enamelling/lacquering visible to localised area.
Clasp likely later replacement, soft solder visible to fixtures.
Split pearls fairly well matched, one darker than others, possible replacement with glue residue visible to setting.
Amethysts with minor abrasions and surface reaching inclusions.
Amethysts are a medium purple hue, fairly well saturated with good to fairly good clarity.
Small amounts of pitting visible to enamel.
