Full Lot Description

A 1920's silver hip flask, of plain and rounded rectangular form with removable cup and bayonet closure lid on hinged arm. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1925. Height 12cm, gross weight 6.31ozt (196.2g).

  • Appears quite dirty and tarnished all over and in need of a clean.
  • Displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches.
  • Also with a few dints and bumps, most notably to one shoulder.
  • Some heavier wear around edges with a visible seam line; some damage along the seam forming a slight crack on one side.
  • Removable cup is a good fit; some contact marks to the main body from the action of removing and replacing it.
  • Hinges and bayonet closure appear in good working order; closes securely.
  • Hallmarked to various parts, with some rubbing but all still clear and legible; also with impressed maker's name and address to cup.
