Full Lot Description

An American sterling silver minaudiere, of cylindrical, engine-turned form with initial engraving to central panel, opening to reveal one side with two hinged compartments, and the other with hinged mirror to singular compartment. Stamped with maker's mark for Elgin American Manufacturing Company. Length 8.3cm, gross weight 2.8ozt (89.20g).

Condition Report

Item shows general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
Item shows bashing and uneven texture all over.
Area surrounding opening to either end, and area surrounding opening and interior interior, shows dark tarnishing and polish residue and appears dirty.
One end (without tassle), has one very bent and one broken loop attachment.
Mirror is loose within fitting.
Compartments behind hinges are clean and in fair condition.
All hinged components open and close securely.
Gross weight is inclusive of all elements.
