A George III silver needle case, each side having engraved entwinned reed pattern, one with elliptical vacant cartouche. Hallmarked Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham probably 1791. Length 8.8cm, weight 9g.

Condition Report
- Texture to silver is very bumpy and uneven all over, but otherwise displays minimal surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing in consideration of age and use.
- Thin sides show some very minor nicks and dints.
- Silver is bright and shiny.
- Gauge is thin and easily malleable.
- Rims to both case and cover are uneven but fit together well.
- Rim to cover has split and is missing an area, to thin side.
- Hallmarks are partially rubbed but still just about legible.
