A 1930's silver-gilt and enamel compact, of circular, black enamelled form, the hinged lid with black border enclosing meadow scene with stream and mountainous horizon, opening to reveal hinged compartment to interior. Hallmarked Cohen & Charles, London import 1932. Diameter 5.5cm, gross weight 2ozt (60.7g)

Condition Report
- Item is in fair condition, showing general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Enamel is quite scratched to base of central body.
- There is a small area of damage to black enamel border of hinged lid, directly below hinge. Otherwise, enamel to hinged lid is in good condition.
- Hinged lid is very slightly wobbly.
- Silver band to exterior is quite tarnished.
- Interior shows polish residue and dirt.
- Interior compartment lid is slightly lifted, not sitting on rim.
