Condition Report
- Item is in mostly fair condition, showing some surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Top and sides are bright and shiny, with some darker tarnishing evident especially to recesses of decoration to the back curve.
- Item stands securely despite one leg being notably bent.
- Legs and pedals show some polish residue to recesses.
- Pedal pushes downwards, moving an internal mechanism that appears only to push drawer up slightly. Mechanism is likely broken.
- Front, silver mounted panel to drawer is bumpy and bashed to edges. Residue and glue is visible between silver panel and front of wooden drawer.
- Drawer is aged, tired and damaged. Recess to base that ensures sliding action into piano is frayed and uneven, meaning that drawer catches and jams if pushed into piano interior body, and catches slightly at points of being pushed into, or pulled out of, piano body.
- Veneer to exterior, curved side of piano has become detached, kept inside material-lined drawer.
- Material lining to drawer is aged, with some wear to front rim but is intact.
- Interior of panel appears scratched and worn.
- Personal engraving reads; 'DECEMBER 6TH 1902 A JOYOUS ANNIVERSARY RECALLING AFFECTIONATE MEMORIES'
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
