Full Lot Description

Two silver card cases, one of rectangular, foliate and central monogram engraved form, hallmarked Birmingham 1899, the other, curved example having scrolled decoration, hallmarked Cohen & Charles, Chester 1903. Height of Birmingham example 8.5cm and length of Chester example 8.2cm. Overall weight 2.5ozt (78.6g).

Condition Report

Items are in fair condition, in consideration of age and use, showing some general but mainly light surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
Silver is quite bright and shiny.
Side to hinged lid and to central body of Birmingham example display a small dint.
Central monogram shows some darker tarnishing.
Sides to Chester example shows some darker tarnishing to edges.
Maker's marks are slightly rubbed but are overall clear and legible.
