Full Lot Description
A Victorian silver snuff box, the curved rectangular form with engine-turned decoration all over and foliate engraved oval panel to hinged lid, hallmarked with lion passant and duty mark only, and maker's mark ES, probably Edward Smith, Birmingham, length 6.5cm. Together with a modern silver circular pill box with green enamel lid, hallmarked London 1976. Gross weight 2.16ozt (67.2g). (2).

Condition Report
- Both boxes displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
- Snuff box with some minor dints and bumps, mainly around edges and corners; and splits at the corners of the lid.
- Also with surface wear and rubbing to some areas of the decoration causing loss of detail, mainly to the engine-turning.
- Hinges appear in good working order and closes securely, rising very slightly.
- Hallmarks located to gilt interior, only standard, duty and maker's marks present, but these all clear and legible.
- Pill box with nibbles around the edge of the green enamel top and small loss to one area; interior is lined with a thin material; hallmarks to base are clear and legible.
