An early Victorian silver vinaigrette, with scroll engraving to one side and foliage decoration to the back, with ring attachment, opening to reveal gilt pierced grille. Hallmarked Edward Smith, Birmingham 1847. Gross weight 9.8g.

Condition Report
- Item shows surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- There is a small gape between hinged lid and rim, and hinged lid slightly overlaps with rim to one corner.
- Grille does not appear to be hallmarked, but is very dirty and rusty to underside.
- Interior is blackened and tarnished.
- Hinged grille fits into body of vinaigrette well.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible.
