Full Lot Description

Two George III silver wine labels, one of curved, horned shape engraved 'Rum', hallmarked John Wilkinson, Birmingham 1813, and the other 'Gin', with gadrooned rim, hallmarked S C Younge & Co, Sheffield 1818, plus a Victorian 'Sherry' example, hallmarked probably John Gilbert, Birmingham 1873. Approx. length of 'Rum' example 4cm, gross overall weight 1ozt (31.4g).

Condition Report

Items are in good condition, in consideration of age and use, showing minor but general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
Silver is bright and shiny, and hallmarks clear and legible, to all items.
Central panel to 'Gin' example shows some deeper scratches and dark spots.
'Err' to 'Sherry' example engraving shows some slight loss to definition.
