An early to mid 19th century Egyptian Revival gold scarab beetle necklace.
Length 38.7cms. 27.7gms.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
Signs of alterations.
Varied discolouration, some presumed acid discolouration.
Scarabs appear well matched with no obvious damages or losses.
Electronically tests as approximately 21 to 22ct gold, presumed interference from gilt finish, later connecting rings untested.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
