Full Lot Description
A mid 19th century ebonised and gilt brass repeating carriage or travel clock by E. J Dent striking the hour on a gong and the half hour on a bell, the case with bevelled glass panels and top upon a plinth with a carved band with repeat button to the right side, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel Breguet hands marked E.I Dent within a pierced and chased mask, the movement with twin fusee, maintaining power, strike silent and underslung lever platform escapement with bimetallic balance, movement and dial both stamped, lock plate to base, height 20cm

Condition Report
- Case 20cm, 22cm tall with handle, 25cm tall with handle up x 15.5cm x 14cm
- The case is original, but it is brittle
- There are minor scuffs and losses to the corners, particularly on the over hang top
- The glass is grubby with fox spots
- Some tarnishing to the gilt metal
- The back glass panel has been engraved with a previous owners name in script writing
- No key.
