An 18th century astrological musical longcase clock signed Samuel Collings of Downend, the silvered dial with Roman numerals, months of the year with signs of the Zodiac and Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter with inner subsidiary dials for the date and minutes (with painted moon dial), the arched plate with 24 hour night and day movement and four smaller subsidiary dials for Strike/silent, day of the week, Air / Dance / Jig and Chime/silent, all to a brass plate with foliate casting, the triple weight driven movement with eight graduated bells and mechanical movement cylinder, all within a later mahogany case, total height 226cm
