A 1970s English brass eight day chronometer carriage clock by Thomas Mercer, the angular case with brushed gilt finish and bevelled glass panels enclosing a silvered dial with Roman numerals and blue steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and power reserve, the back plate with hand set and Start Stop stamped Thomas Mercer St Albans England, Established 1858 and numbered 1176, retains leather carry case stamped Thomas Mercer, the interior in purple velvet with the key to the lid, case height 15cm
