Full Lot Description

Pierre Brun - 1960s clutch. With vari-cut diamond initial and detail, and an associated carry case. Length 14.1cm. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct.

Stamped 750, with French marks for Pierre Brun SA. The Brun family is known to have worked for many of the main houses in Place Vendôme and Rue de la Paix, Paris in the 20th century, eventually selling the workshop to Cartier in 2000.

We believe that this lot and the compact were produced for the same buyer as the agenda cover.

Condition Report

Overall condition good.
Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
Diamonds are mixed brilliant and single-cut.
Diamonds fairly bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Stones with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
