A mid to late 19th century scrolling foliate black enamel locket. Length 5.4cms. 17.3gms.

Surface scratches and minor marks.
Stated length includes surmount, approximate length of oval 4.2cms.
Enamel shows surface scratches and small losses/chips.
Interior shows one locket compartment, glass deficient, heavier scratches to one side.
Electronically tests to interior as approximately 12ct gold.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
