Lot Description

A 19th century silver and gold Imperial topaz brooch, with central vari-cut diamond forget-me-not flower and old-cut diamond surround.

Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.50ct.
Length 3cms. 11.5gms.

Surface scratches and minor marks. General tarnish/discolouration.
Replacement brooch fittings. Pin somewhat loose.
Original screw thread remains.
Topaz is slightly loose within the mount.
Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.
Topaz has been drilled to support the floral component.
Topaz appears a peachy slightly yellowish orange. Facet-edge abrasion and minor nibbles.
Topaz estimated dimensions 23.8 by 18.7 by 7.5mms.
