A late 19th century gold alternating sapphire and cat's-eye chrysoberyl five-stone ring. 

Central sapphire calculated weight 0.51ct, based on estimated dimensions of 5.4 by 4.4 by 2.3mms. 
Ring size J. 2.6gms.

Surface scratches and small marks.
Sapphires appear a well matched deep medium blue, varied colour zoning. Facet edge abrasions.
Chatoyancy varies, one shows clear central line, the other partial, slightly indistinct.
