Lot Description
A late Georgian gold locket, with motto 'le temps passe, l'amiene reste' and oroboros surround and surmount.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
Hinge is slightly loose, lid does not close securely.
Locket contents have been removed along with one of the securing screws that connects to the exterior.
Interior shows area of soft solder and scratches through the gilt finish.
Snake to locket surround has a rose-cut diamond eye to each side, one diamond deficient.
Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Approximate diameter of locket 2.5cms.
