Buyer's Premium

Prospective bidders and buyers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with our terms and conditions, including the buyer's premium.

The buyer shall pay:
On the first £100,000 of the Hammer Price (of any individual lot) the buyer will pay the hammer price and a premium of 25% (plus VAT) or 30% (inclusive of VAT)

On the excess over £100,001 of the hammer price (of any individual lot), the buyer will pay the hammer price and a premium of 15% (plus VAT) or 18% (inclusive of VAT).

Items marked with * contain VAT at 20% on the hammer price. Value Added Tax is charged at the rate prevailing by law at the date of sale.

Bidding Fees:

There are no additional fees for live online bidding with our bidding platform Fellows Live. Fellows does not levy any additional fees for telephone or commission/absentee bidding. However, bidders using third-party platforms may find additional fees charged by those external partners.

Artist's Resale Right (ARR):

ARR (sometimes known as Droit de Suite) is a legal entitlement that ensures artists receive a percentage of the resale price when their artwork is sold in the secondary art market. Fellows adheres to ARR regulations applicable to qualifying works. The percentage varies based on the resale price, ranging from 4% to 0.25%, with ARR capped at a set price. Postage and Shipping:

We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on the majority of items in our auctions. Terms and conditions apply, see our shipping page for more information.

Storage:

Storage charges may apply to items not removed within 14 days following an auction with an interest rate not exceeding 1.5% per month on the total amount due if unpaid for more than two working days post-auction. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
