William IV silver open salt, the sectioned circular body raised above three seated lurchers. Hallmarked Edward, Edward junior, John & William Barnard London 1831. Height measuring 1 1/2 inches (4 cm), weight 6.47 ozt (201 grams).

The open salt displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The interior has previously been gilded, this is very worn. To the widest part of the body there are a couple of dints and a repair. The hallmarks positioned to the underneath are clear and legible.
