Edward VIII silver snuff box of rectangular hinged form, scroll rim and gilt interior.  Hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd Birmingham 1936. Measuring 6 cm x 4 cm, weight 1.8 ozt (58.9 grams).

The snuff box displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A little pitting visible to the interior and outer edge. Overall the gilt has remained in good condition with some discolouration and wear to the hinge from movement. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark rubbed.
