Lot Description
Edwardian silver snuff box of plain oval form with inset hinged lid. Hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, Chester 1906. Maximum length measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm), approximate silver weight 3.16 ozt (98.5 grams).

Condition Report
The box displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing. Some of these scratches are deeper and more evident in places. There are also some minor nicks in the metal and some small dints around the sides of the main body. There are some fairly deep scratches and nicks to the interior and also various dark marks and patches. The hinged lid has a press release action so there is a metal strip fixed to the interior and as a result there are now some contact marks to the reverse of the lid. The full set of hallmarks to the interior and part set to the reverse of the lid are all clear and legible.
