Lot Description

Nineteenth century American basting spoon with hammered bowl and initialled terminal. Marked G. S. Gelston. Length measuring 15 inches (38 cm), weight 4.7 ozt (147 grams).

The spoon displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The heel displays some rubbing with some loss of definition. The rim of the bowl is a little dented and distorted to areas and also displaying some thinning. The mark appears clear and legible, no other marks present.
