Lot Description

An Edwardian silver preserve stand, the oblong base with mirror finish, gadroon and shell rim on four bun feet and wire frame supporting two glass inserts. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1902, numbered 5347. Maximum height measuring 9 1/2 inches (24 cm), gross silver weight 19.8 ozt (616 grams).

In good condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Wobbles slightly on a flat surface. Small chip to the rim of one of the lids, further minor nibbles/imperfections visible to the glass.The hallmarks are clear and legible.
