Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver vesta case of curved square outline, engraved "Prov. 3.24, 1st Battle Squadron, Bangor, June 1913, ISA 43.2" to one side and "RB, Prov. 28.5" to the reverse. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1912. Length 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm). Weight 1.02 ozt (31.9 grams).

Good overall condition with scratches, very small dents and tarnish in keeping with age and use. Very slight, shallow dent near the striker. Striker serrated base metal, discoloured, rust. Small section of slightly heavier scratches and associated minor discolouration. Slight black spot discolouration. Lid closes securely.
