A Victorian brass-inlaid coromandel lap desk or writing box. The hinged brass-strung rectangular cover with central cartouche, enclosing a plush-lined writing slope, the exterior with flush-fitted handles, 15" x 9.5" x 5.5" high, (38cm x 24cm x 14cm).
