A 19th century rosewood jewellery or storage box, having brass mounts, inlay and vacant cartouche to the hinged cover, opening to reveal a concealed letter folder to the inside cover over two-tier compartment interior and above further front opening compartment drawer, with brass lock marked 'Bramah', 12.5" x 9.25" x 7" high (32cm x 23.5cm x 18cm).

Overall appears in fair to poor condition displaying signs of wear and use commensurate with age. Exterior with scratches, knocks and half width split to cover. Drawer escutcheon has been crudely replaced with some damage to veneer. Interior wear and dirt to lining.
