A Maltese letter opener of plain tapered form, the ascending openwork terminal with central finger-ring, stylised flower motif and Maltese cross. Marked 800 alongside the Maltese cross and two further assay marks. Length measuring 7 7/8 inches (20 cm), weight 1.3 ozt (41.8 grams).

Condition Report
In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The tip of the letter opener is slightly bent. Remnants of polish visible. Marks slightly rubbed and worn, marked 800 alongside the Maltese cross and possibly a date letter and maker's mark.
