A modern silver 'Castletop' style snuff box of rounded oblong form, the hinged lid depicting a view of Newstead Abbey in low relief, the base with engine-turned decoration, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior, contained within a fitted case. Hallmarked S J Rose & Son, Birmingham 1990. Width measures 5 cm, weight 60.3 grams.

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the decoration. The box does not shut fully flush and bounces up. The silver-gilt interior appears slightly dull. Some dirt residue visible to the hinge. The fitted case shuts securely. Hallmarks clear and legible.
