Lot Description
A set of four late Victorian silver open salts, each of circular form with crimped wavy rim border and raised upon three ball feet, hallmarked Thomas Hayes, Birmingham 1889, together with four associated silver condiment spoons, three hallmarked Robert Chandler, Birmingham 1923, the other Birmingham 1899, maker's mark M.Bro, in a fitted case. Gross weight 2.2 ozt (68.4 grams).

Condition Report
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The open salts fit the case well, the spoons do not sit securely in the fitted slots, the material of one of the spoon slots has been replaced and is a different colour to the interior lining. The case does not shut securely with scuffs, wear and losses to the outer case. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
