Lot Description

A George V pair of silver napkin rings, each of circular form with engraved scroll decoration surrounding a vacant cartouche, each in an individual fitted retailer's case, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1910. Together with a cased pair of 1950's silver napkin rings, each of circular engine-turned form with vacant cartouche, hallmarked Harman Brothers, Birmingham 1958 & 1959. Gross weight 2.6 ozt (81.9 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. No personal engravings to the cartouches. Construction seams visible to the George V pair. Minor scuffs and wear to the cases. The George V interior lining is marked for the retailer 'R. Gilbert & Sons, Coventry'. Hallmarks clear and legible.
