A late Victorian silver sovereign case, of circular form with reeded decoration, the press release case opening to reveal an engine-turned sprung platform holder for a full sovereign. Hallmarked William Neale & Son, Birmingham 1890. Diameter measures 3.2 cm, gross weight 15.1 grams.

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish. The press release is in working order and platform holder has a good spring when pushed. Hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to various sections.
