Lot Description
A 1930's silver cigarette case of oblong curved form, with engine-turned decoration and corner monogrammed cartouche, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with engraved date, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1935, width measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm). Together with two further silver cigarette cases, each of rectangular form with engine-turned decoration, initialled corner cartouche and canted edges, hallmarked Birmingham 1946 & 1958. Gross weight 19 ozt (591 grams). (3).

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Each case shuts, two fully flush. Minor loss of definition along edges, around corners and to the engine-turned decoration across the three. The 1930's example is engraved '17th Dec R 1935' to the interior. The 1940's example is engraved with the initials 'H. L. A' to the cartouche, one of its interior bands is broke which have caused surface marks to the opposite side of the case. The 1950's example is engraved with the initials 'C M R J?'. Hallmarks slightly worn on the 1940's example, others are clear and legible.
