Lot Description
A late Victorian silver vesta case, of oblong form with wrythen decoration, hallmarked T A, Birmingham 1889, width measures 3.7 cm. Together with an Edwardian pair of open salts, each of embossed bulbous form with beaded rim border, hallmarked Birmingham 1908, an Edwardian silver handled pickle fork, a George V silver handled button hook, a 1920's folding silver fruit knife with mother-of-pearl handle with vacant cartouche and a plated vesta case modelled as a book. Gross weighable silver 3 ozt (94.8 grams). (6).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The silver vesta case does not shut fully flush and slightly bounces, minor splits and holes down the centre of the hinged lid and down the sides, marked with the registration number 1255?. The open salts are further marked with a stylised flower and '339' to each base. Some minor hairline fractures to the mother-of-pearl handle, tip of the knife blade is slightly bent. The fork tines are marked G.S N.P. The button hook is based metal, the handle is marked with the registration number 54690?. The plated vesta case has a stippled engraved 'H' to the cartouche. Remnants of polish visible on some items. Maker's marks rubbed in place, majority of other hallmarks clear and legible.
