Lot Description
An Edwardian silver vesta case, of rounded rectangular form with flip top cover and engraved scroll decoration surrounding a vacant cartouche, hallmarked William Neale & Sons, Chester 1901, width measures 5.3 cm. Together with a small silver box, of oblong form with engraved scroll decoration surrounding a vacant cartouche to the lid and flower sprig to the base, hallmarked Birmingham 1937. Gross weight 1.5 ozt (47.4 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The flip top function of the vesta case is in working order, the interior is heavily tarnished. The small silver box was possibly a vinaigrette which is missing its grille, the case shuts but not fully flush, the gilded interior is dirty and scuffed. No personal engravings to either cartouche. Hallmarks clear and legible.
