Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The pepperette is a very dark base metal and would probably benefit from a clean and polish, some loss of detail to the feather decoration, lid screws on tightly, the owl cannot stand upright, it has either been worn down on the underside or was possibly originally attached to a branch or something similar. The ram head has lost most of its gilt finish, the glass eyes are deficient, one of the early plastic (possibly vulcanite) horns is broken. The sail of the model ship is bent and folded over, with a significant dent/crease to the side of the haul. The cart open salt can be assembled but is not securely attached together on the one side. The filigree miniature or toy items and novelty open salt appear unmarked. The open salt has engraved initials and clear glass liner.
