Lot Description
A selection of twenty seven early to late Victorian mother-of-pearl and silver folding knives, of varying shape and design, majority with engraved floral and scroll motifs, seven with engraved personal inscriptions or initials, one contained within a faux leather case. Hallmarks for Birmingham and Sheffield, various dates and maker's marks including George Unite & Sons and Hilliard & Thomason. (27).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some of the blades are slightly creased in places or appear a bit thin. Majority appear in good working order in terms of the folding function. The faux leather case is slightly squashed and mis-shaped. The engraved inscriptions to the cartouche or blades include various names and initials. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible, one knife appears to have a retailer's mark 'Barrett Hastings?', no maker's mark visible. This lot may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
